Yes. The Senior Divisional Officer for Fako issued an acknowledgement of receipt for the declaration of the association on 12 May 2022. UNIHAF is apolitical, non-denominational and non-profit making, and operates under Article 7 of Law No. 90/053 of 19/12/1990.
A community group submits a proposal, the management committee verifies and costs it on site, and the board of directors approves it.
Funds are tied to a named cause. Receipts are filed with the treasurer, and results are reported to the general assembly under the accounting and auditing articles.
